Are Older Fitness Books More Effective?

When most people are trying to decide about what type of knowledge to trust, they’re usually trying to decide between older, time-tested methods or newer and allegedly more effective ones. In other words, the dilemma lies between experience and progress. While most people, especially younger ones, may be tempted to simply trust the new ones because today we know much more than in the past, the truth may prove to be a bit shocking.

Old Books

If it was up to me, I would put a lot more faith in the books and systems of yesterday than those of today. While I’m not saying that there hasn’t been a lot of progress, the truth is that most of what gets released today is pure and simple garbage. Most of the people who write fitness books these days only recycle the same old information that was already available to everyone for free, and that’s if you’re lucky and stumble upon a book that actually provides you with something relevant. The only way for a modern fitness book to be better than an older one is if it has been proven to actually be more effective in the techniques it proposes.

TRX

As I mentioned before, I do believe that a lot of progress in the health and fitness domain has been made. And that is why I decided to put my faith in the TRX workout system for my exercising, and Diet to Go for my nutrition. While the TRX system is quite light and complete, featuring only a set of suspension cables used for all the exercises in addition to a guidebook, it comes at a price of $199. However, this situation can be remedied by finding a TRX coupon, which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes.

Diet to Go is actually a program that is designed to replace your regular foods with much healthier alternatives that actually taste good, if not better than what you usually eat. You can even have the items delivered to your door and constantly use a Diet to Go coupon in order to also save money on your meals.
